First week of 2012!!

Well bw the blog and my journal this is entry #3 so I'm beating last year!! I started working out again this week!! I have done 2 workouts so far was hoping for one today but wasn't feeling so great so instead I was a big ol lazy butt and stayed on the couch with the heating pad most of the day ;( but I did run on wednesday 30 min of run 5 walk 2 and yoga on Thursday!! Pretty sore just from those but it feels good to be sore again!! The plan is for another workout tomorrow and then Sunday we will be heading to h town for fam time and then Monday really start hitting the diet and workouts!! My biggest dilemma is trying to figure out what workout plan I want to follow!! I can't decide between body rock tv, womens health mag, oxygen, Jillian Michael, or trying to just run and do classes at the gym...gotta get it figured out soon!! Well I'm going to try and go meet one of my other resolutions and go to bed at a somewhat decent time on my day off!!

New Year's Resolutions!!

So one of my big NYRs is to start blogging and/or journaling more this year!! So here's to my first entry of 2012!!! Technically it's still jan 1 for me since I haven't gone to sleep so I'm counting this as a good start to the new year!! I guess I'll go ahead and list the rest of my resolutions!!

1. Blog/Journal

2. Be more crafty(but at normal hours of the day!!)...I started working on this one the other day by starting to teach myself to knit

3. Stop gripping/complaining about my job and/or find a new one!!

4. Bring back the bad ass fit and healthy Jenni!!

5. Cut down/out the cursing...granted I did technically curse in #4 but I think some words will be staying ;)

6. GET PREGGERS!!!

7. Get my projects done despite my abnormal schedule and tiredness!! First project to complete is the closet then the middle bedroom and all my hangings/prints!!

I'm sure more will follow in the next few days!!

On a side note I may need to rename my blog bc it hasn't been so fitting over the last few months, well except for the the wine portion!! But then again if I'm successful with #4 the workout portion will resume being good!! Now if I'm (or more appropriately G and I are successful on #6 the wine part will have to go (for awhile!!) but I'm COMPLETELY OK with that!!

found this nice little bar at bed, bath & beyond while shopping for closet organization things...it matches our house perfectly and I've been wanting a bar FOREVER!!! G and I had a nice night in on Saturday after getting home from our trip to Houston ~for Nik's Bday!!!~ and put this together!!! I'm super excited to "break it in" tonight when Leann comes over after she gets off work to have a gabfest!!!

so...talk about it being awhile!!!

well, i haven't blogged in um i don't know..FOREVER!!! sorry bout that...then again i don't think anyone is really reading this so it's not like i'm lettin' anyone down!!! :)

i've had some great workouts lately since i was training for my very FIRST triathlon!!! which i'm proud to say I finished...and did pretty decent i think!! i CAN'T wait to do another one..but I definitely need to train MUCH harder, and apparently learn to swim better!!

i'm excited about my workout scheduled for Wednesday!! Lindy, my trainer, and I will be doing weigh in/measurements..which i'm not super pumped about, but then we are going to do max strength testing...just like back in high school!! I'm excited to see how strong I am!!!

A few weeks ago I did rounds of pull ups by myself!!! granted it was only 3 in a row, but still!! I was SUPER PUMPED!!!

when i get back from Vegas (yippee!!!!) and Galveston (with my Joe Joe :) ) I'll be hitting it HARD!!!

Diet, Strength Training, and Cardio Max!!! Afterall, I think I'll be running a half marathon (if not whole) come late fall so I gotta get movin'...after a little partying that is!!!

well i'll let ya know how i do on my max strength testing!!! :)

South American Workouts Are Muy Bueno!!!

Hola amigos y amigas!! Lo siento por el largo tiempo entre los blogs pero mis ejercicios no han sido consistentes!!!  (Translation: Hello friends!! I'm sorry for the long time between blogs, but my workouts have not been consistent!!) Well, I guess that's not completely true since I have been getting my butt kicked two-three times a week by my trainer Lindy...but as far as doing stuff on my own, I'm still slackin' pretty bad!!! I really miss when I was working out 5-6 days a week...where, or where did that motivation and lack of need for sleep go?!?!? Anyways...I did have some amazing workouts while visiting South America, and participating in a medical mission trip to Lima Peru!!! Not only did my glutes and quads get some amazing toning from the millions of stairs I ran up and down daily...not to mention the 280+ steps we had to walk down and then back up to get to the beach!!!:) but i also had a REALLY GREAT run on Tuesday night with my friend Jake!! We ran down the boardwalk, and down to the area close to the beach (and again back up some crazy stairs!!)...it was great weather and a beautiful sunset that we ran into...plus the area we were in, Miraflores, is a VERY active community...and SO many people were out walking/running/roller blading (apparently it's still pretty cool in SA!!), playing with their dogs, and enjoying the wonderful weather at one of the many parks in the area!! It was great...we ran for almost an hour and only had to stop a lil while climbing back up the stairs, and for just a lil bit after we got to the top...I felt great while running, and after running, and I wasn't even that sore the next day!!! The other amazing workout I got was SURFING in the PACIFIC in SOUTH AMERICA!!!! Wow...I forgot what an AMAZING full body and soul workout surfing can be!!! There was a group of 7 of us..all the rest were newbies...and everyone did great and was able to stand up at some point or another!! It was awesome!!! I was COMPLETELY wiped after that!!! The surf instructors were AWESOME!!! I was pretty sore the next day...granted traveling for 12 hours later that evening/next morning didn't help!! :) So now that I'm back in the states and slept for almost 2.5 days straight I'm ready to start hitting it hard...I gotta find that WORKOUT FIEND again and PRONTO!!!! Wednesday was a good day with Lindy...not too hard, but definitely got my HR up and my core is REALLY sore today!! Looking forward to another good workout tomorrow (technically later today!!) and then meeting with the nutritionist so I can hopefully get back on track with my diet!!! So I'm thinking about doing the Danskin Women's Triathalon in Austin on June 5th..starting this Sunday I would have 9 weeks to train...that's definitely plenty!! Maybe if I go ahead and sign up and pay the money it'll motivate me!! I think I'm gonna do it!! I gotta do something!!! Just need to check and make sure I didn't ask off for that weekend for something else!! Ok..so do ya'll think I should do it?!??! I'll keep ya posted!! Ok i really need to try and catch some sleep!!
